Annual Report

This year the Outreach Committee increased the presence of Calvary Lutheran Church on the web. Many websites can be found that cater to individuals looking for a new church home, but Calvary’s information was absent from several. As a result, contact and service information for Calvary was listed with five prominent church locator sites. The Outreach Committee will endeavor to stay apprised of similar sites that come online and ensure that Calvary is listed.

The Outreach Committee has continued activities that include coffee mugs with information about Calvary for first time visitors, and follow up telephone calls to visitors.

We finalized the positioning statement God’s Heart Human Hands and purchased the URL, www.godshearthumanhands.com that links to Calvary’s website.

We have ordered banners for God’s Heart Human Hands that will be in place prior to Christmas services and available for all events at Calvary during the year. In addition the committee has ordered new coffee mugs for visitors and shopping bags that will be available to visitors and to members. We hope members of the congregation will use the bags while shopping so that people will see them and check out www.godshearthumanhands.com .

Contingent upon budget approval we hope to begin two separate direct mail campaigns beginning in 2011.

The Stephen Minister program remains active under the leadership of Pastor Kyle. Stephen Ministers meet twice a month for continuing education and small group discussion, which is confidential.
