ONGOING PROJECTS
Quilters will meet on Saturday, April 13, from 10 to 3. Please join us and have fun visiting while we begin work on the quilts for next year’s LWR collection. Bring a sack lunch or some food to share.
We can always use unopened motel-size toiletries, discarded magazines, and flannel (new or like new) for receiving blankets. These items are taken to JPS Hospital. Full-size toiletries are given to Open Arms women's shelter or the Night Shelter. The quilters always need flat sheets in good condition for quilt backing.

LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF
The quilters have sewn, assembled, and packed 56 qui lts for LWR. Sixty-four School Kits, 3 Fabric Kits, and 14.6 pounds of soap are also packed and ready to go. These items will be delivered week after Easter to Bethel Lutheran Church in Dallas where a semi-truck from LWR will collect area donations to take to their warehouse in Maryland.
Many thanks to all of you who worked this past year on the quilts; donated school supplies, sewed bags for, and packed the School Kits; and contributed soap and fabric for the Fabric Kits. Last year LWR helped people in 35 countries.

WOMEN’S WORK DAY AT N.E.E.D.
Possible Women’s Work Day at N.E.E.D. – We’ve been approached about helping out at the distribution center in Fort Worth. This will help in two ways. One is the actual work we will do, the other is that money will be donated to N.E.E.D. for every hour we each work. If you’re interested, come to the events above or contact Carol Court at 817-271-7275 or carolmcourt@gmail.com.
